I'm Selling Turkish Toasts
The weather is lovely so why not head to Estrella park and pit stop at BaiWho to say hello to yours truly!?
Hi folks! Long time, no read! As you can probably tell from the Instagram, life has been… VERY BUSY. Between posting more videos per week than I ever have before, I’ve also grown my operation by collaborating with BlackCat Cinema in the programming of their summer calendar and finding them food vendors. On top of that, I’m also doing my first ever private guided food tours through Lisbon (DM me if you want to purchase one of these for you and your friends), and I’m in the middle of organizing private dinner events for my followers.
So needless to say, there’s a lot going on! I’ve decided to use the Substack as a News blast for whenever “major” announcements should be made, since I simply don’t have the bandwidth to do one of these every week (at least for now).
Anyway, today I’m emailing y’all because of a cool pop-up I’m running near Estrella Park!

BaiWho Lisboa Pop-Up
Sebastiao, the owner of BaiWho Lisboa, reached out to me a few weeks ago asking about whether or not I could find somebody to take over their kitchen as part of a collab/pop-up event. I said “ME”!
To make a long story short, my Mother always wanted to sell Turkish street food, and I always thought it would be fun to try and see how many ImmigrantFoodie fans would show up to a 5-day miss-it-and-its-gone food event, so before getting a local business involved in my crazy experiment, I figured I should run the kitchen first.
Yesterday was our first day and everyone who came through (thank you so much to those of you who did) absolutely loved the food. I would love for more of you to swing by and check it out. We’ll be serving Sujuk Toasts; a Turkish panini made with a fragrant Turkish beef sausage as well as Poca, a cheese-filled veggie pastry.
The food is delicious and the vibe at BaiWho is killer: Great music, a comfortable co-working space, good coffee, and a ton of beautiful clothes from local brands and artists.
We hope to see you there!
